Industrial Ladders For Warehouses
Industrial Ladders are a vital component of a smoothly running warehouse space. Not only do these ladders help with the efficiency of a facility they also add to the safety of the employees that are operating the warehouse. These types of ladders allow workers easy and quick access to any storage area that is at an elevated location like a pallet rack with several rack spaces can be around 8ft tall making it quite difficult to reach the top rack. Of course if you are storing heavy items a forklift or similar piece of machinery maybe needed, however if you are retrieving smaller items that are stored in an elevated area a industrial rolling ladder is probably the easiest and safest way to go.
When choosing an industrial ladder it is always best to think about the job that the ladder is supposed to do before acquiring one. There are several types available so the best course of action is to figure out what you need and pick the most appropriate ladder for the job. One of the more diverse ladders is a rolling ladder. Industrial Rolling ladders generally have 4 wheels which can be locked in to place to secure the ladder once its in the position you want it in. Also the ladder has a side rail for safety. The steps are usually constructed with a non slip surface or a grooved for an improved grip, making it safer for employees using the ladder. The beauty of this type of ladder is that once the job is done you can simply move it to a spot where it is out of the way and it can be used at many locations within a warehouse quite easily by just rolling it from location to location. This is much more convenient and safer then carrying a folding ladder around the warehouse.
Walkthrough style Industrial Ladders are another way to go, however the draw back to this type of ladder is that it is permanently fixed in one location and can not be moved at will. This type of application is usually used for roof access and when working in large structures with extremely high vertical spaces.
Step Ladders are another tool that is quite easy to use to get to hard to reach places. These ladders are not designed to be used for real high places but rather come in to play when things are stored at a slightly higher location then eye level. They are made to elevate you a few extra feet to allow you to reach items that maybe on a higher shelf then is conveniently reachable without a step ladder.
Telescoping ladders are another excellent and versatile way to go. This type of ladder allows you to lock it in to place at different levels as well as making them easy to store in places where you could not store a conventional ladder. Telescoping ladders are generally design to handle light to medium work loads. For heavy loads a walk through style or Rolling ladder are the correct way to go. Since those types are more geared towards heavier loads.

Is this a good starter telescope?
Link: http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10292165&whse=BCCA&topnav=&browse=&lang=en-CA&s=1
My parents insist on buying me this one, because its from costco. Costco usually has good quality and excellent warranty, and they will not buy from any other store.
Is it okay for a beginner? Or is it too cheap? If you think its junk please suggest the price range or characteristics of a good telescope
I really want to get into astronomy. I am willing to spend more, at a different store.
One of the basic rules for beginning astronomers is NOT to buy a telescope from companies like Costco, Wal-Mart or online from places like eBay. The telescopes these companies sell are total junk and money spent on them is wasted.
A telescope is not a mass-market commodity; it is a precision tool. You should _only_ buy a telescope from a specialized telescope dealer. You won't pay any more money, but you will get an instrument that will last for years and sustain your interest, and it will be backed by a dealer who is interested in keeping you as a customer, and will provide you with help and support. Look in the Yellow Pages under "Telescopes"; if that doesn't work, buy from an established online dealer, such as Orion, Astronomics, High Point, Hands On Optics, etc.
What's wrong with this scope? Primarily the mounting. This will shake like crazy, making it impossible to see anything clearly. A yoke mounting with adjustment bar is about the worst mounting available, and then it's stuck on a shaky light-weight aluminum triopod. They claim 675x: that's an immediate warning that this is a junk telescope. Good telescopes are sold by their aperture (diameter of lens or mirror) because _any_ telescope can boast _any_ magification, if you use the right eyepiece. But 675x is a ridiculous claim. My main telescope cost me over $4,000 and is of extremely high quality, yet I never use more than about 300x on it. Why? Because the Earth's atmosphere won't allow _any_ telescope to use more than about 300x. So they are basically lying about their specifications. It's like advertising a stereo system by how many decibels it can pump out, rather than the quality of the sound. Bushnell is notorious in the astronomical community as the lowest of the low in telescope manufacturers. Only Galileo is worse.
What should you look at instead? One of these scopes:
1) Orion StarBlast 4.5" reflector @ $180
http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=dobsonians/~pcategory=telescopes/~product_id=09814
2) Orion SkyQuest XT4.5 4.5" reflector @ $240
http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=dobsonians/~pcategory=telescopes/~product_id=09804
3) Orion SkyQuest XT6 6" reflector @ $270
http://www.telescope.com/control/product/~category_id=classicdobs/~product_id=09185
Trust me: any of these will be optically and mechanically superior in every way to the Costco Bushnell, and will give you many years of enjoyment. In this price range, even a few dollars difference in price makes a big difference in quality.
But please PLEASE beg your parents NOT to waste their money on this piece of junk.

Canon 12x36 Image Stabilization II Binoculars w/Case, Neck Strap & Batteries
List Price: |
DescriptionLight, sleek and powerful, this advanced binocular features Canon's Image Stabilizer technology to keep the image steady even when you are not. High magnification multi-coated lenses deliver a wide, extra-bright field-of-view. The Doublet Field Flattener keeps images sharp from edge-to-edge. An enhanced power-saving technology coupled with optional lithium AA batteries provide up to 12 hours of continuous use. All Canon binoculars feature a center focus for easy one-handed operation, and the 12 x 36 IS II has a water-resistant, non-slip rubber coating that ensures secure handling in a wide range of environments Amazon.com Product Description Canon's 12x36 Image Stabilization II binoculars incorporate an optical image stabilizer for shake-free viewing with minimal eye fatigue. This technology was first developed for Canon video camcorders and is now available in many of Canon's binoculars. The system employs a Vari-Angle Prism, dual transparent plates, independent vertical and horizontal sensors, and a dedicated microprocessor to continuously adjust the prism to maintain a steady image. These 12x36 Image Stabilization II binoculars feature a water-resistant rubber coating for nonslip holding. If you get caught in light rain, you don't have to worry about the optics fogging up or getting ruined. These binoculars deliver high magnification, long eye relief, and wide-field viewing. Controls for focusing and image stabilization are centrally located and are accessible by both hands. Improvements to the objective lens assembly have resulted in the binoculars being approximately 26% lighter and 10% smaller than the previous 12x36 IS model they replace. And reductions in power consumption mean a massive 270% increase in battery life of up to four hours using two AA-size alkaline batteries. Image Stabilization and More With any high magnification binoculars, most users will experience frustrating image shake. Unless fixed to a tripod, image shake can render high magnification binoculars useless. Canon's IS technology is remarkably effective at eliminating this problem and is widely used by the television industry with Canon's professional broadcast quality video recording equipment. A special VAP (Vari-Angle Prism) corrective IS system sits between the objective lens group and the porro prism on each side of the binoculars. Within thousandths of a second of the binoculars being moved from their optical axis by vibrations, a detection system activates the IS mechanism. The VAP shape alters to refract or 'bend' the light path by precisely the right amount, thus fully compensating for the vibration. It is this essentially immediate response that effectively suppresses image shake. The binoculars' compact design is based on Canon's popular 10x30 IS model. Curved surfaces mean easy handling, while nature lovers will appreciate the low-reflectance exterior and low gloss front covers, which help to avoid disturbing birds and other What do the numbers mean? 15x50? 8x25? The two numbers used to describe any pair of binoculars are their magnification â 8x, 12x, 15x and so on â and the diameter of their objective lenses â 25mm, 36mm, 50mm, and so on. The larger the first number is, the larger the object will appear to be in the objective lens. For instance, if you use a 10x lens and look at an object that is 100 yards away, it appears to be the same size as an object located just 10 yards away. The second number, the size of the objective lens, is important because the larger the objective lens, the more light it can admit for brighter, more detailed images, and the better suited they will be for lowlight situations. DescriptionShips to the U.S. including Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico. Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector Telescope An affordable but very capable telescope130mm aperture and 900mm focal length for great all-around viewing performanceIncludes sturdy tripod and equatorial mount for hands-free celestial trackingIncludes two eyepieces, finder scope, focuser, collimation cap, and FREE Starry Night astronomy softOne-year limited warranty A lot of folks shopping for their first telescope tell us that they have always had a fascination with the stars. They've been wanting to get a telescope for a long time, they say. We understand very well the lure of the night sky. It has intrigued mankind for millennia with its beauty and mysteriousness. And still does. So it's only natural to want to know more about it, to get a closer look. If you share this fascination, and are ready finally to spring for that telescope, then consider the affordable but very capable Orion SpaceProbe 130mm EQ Reflector Telescope. Sporting the classic long-tube Newtonian design, the Orion SpaceProbe 130mm provides great all-around viewing performance. One minute you can be studying lunar crater formations at high power; the next, the ethereal glow of a nebular star factory. A few minutes later, the ringed visage of Saturn. All served in crisp detail by way of the SpaceProbe's light-gathering 130mm (5.1") primary mirror of 900mm focal length (f/6.9). The mirror lies at the base of the rolled-steel optical tube, which is outfitted with a smooth rack-and-pinion focuser. It accepts 1.25" telescope eyepieces, including the two fully coated Explorer II telescope eyepieces that come standard with the Orion SpaceProbe 130mm: a 25mm for low-power viewing at 36x and a 10mm for higher-power looks at 90x. Also standard is a 6x30 achromatic finder scope to help home in on celestial targets. The mount is our sturdy EQ-2 equatorial model, with adjustable aluminum legs and accessory tray. Slow-motion controls allow fine The Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector is a Newtonian reflector telescope packaged with a sturdy equatorial mount, two Explorer II eyepieces, a 6x30 finder scope, and Orionâs Starry Night Special Edition software. Invented by Sir Isaac Newton, reflector telescopes provide more light gathering power per dollar than any other telescope design. With 130mm (5.1 inches) of aperture, the SpaceProbe 130 produces images that are twice as bright as 90mm telescopes and more than four times brighter than 60mm beginner scopes. The Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector with its Explorer II eyepieces serves up bright, clear images of the Moon, the planets, and even deep space objects like star clusters and galaxies. The 25mm eyepiece magnifies the image by 36 times; when I look at the Pleiades or Seven Sisters cluster at 36X the SpaceProbe 130 shows me a bright open cluster with dozens of point-like stars filling the field of view. When I use the 10mm eyepiece (90X magnification) the lunar disk fills the field of view and the rings of Saturn are plainly resolved. And when I use an optional Ultima 2X Barlow with the 10mm eyepiece for 180X magnification I can see the cloud bands of Jupiter and pick out individual stars in bright globular clusters like M13. The EQ2 equatorial mount included with the Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Reflector comes partially assembled, but it shouldn’t take long to set up. The trick to using an equatorial mount is to point the polar axis at Polaris, the North Star. Once the mount is aligned and balanced, the telescope tracks stars and planets at high power with just a turn of one slow motion knob. You can even add an optional motor drive for hands free tracking. The Orion SpaceProbe 130 EQ Newtonian Reflector Telescope is a simply a great value. The Explorer II eyepieces deliver bright sharp images of the Moon, the planets and the stars, and the EQ2 mount can be motorized for hands free tracking. --Jeff Phillips Pros: More than 4 times brighter than 60mm scopes Includes two eyepieces and a 6x30 finder Solid equatorial mount and aluminum tripod Starry Night software and SkyTheatre DVD included Features

Orion SkyQuest XT8 Classic Dobsonian Reflector Telescope
Sale Price: $489.00 |
DescriptionThe Orion XT series (available in 4.5", 6", 8", and 10") includes some of my favorite entry-level telescopes, and I recommend this one, the 8", most of all. It's well-made, has very good optics, is relatively cheap, isn't too big or too small, and has a nice look. It features an 8" mirror that gathers enough light to do serious work. The mount is a simple alt-az ("altitude-azimuth," a fancy term that simply means "up-down-left-right") design. There is no automated tracking mechanism. When the object in your field of view starts to go out of sight, you simply push to scope along to re-center it. This may sound inconvenient, but the axes are very smooth and responsive to the touch. To maintain tension, the altitude axis ("up-down") uses an innovative spring system. The springs also allow one hardy and ambitious individual to pick up and move it with one hand (the scope weighs 42 lbs.) A 6X30 finder scope is included to help you get oriented, as well as two eyepieces: a 25 mm Plossl (49X) and a 10 mm Plossl (121X). While these eyepieces are of decent quality, the dedicated observer will eventually want to upgrade to better eyepieces like one of Orion's own Ultrascopics. Regardless of eyepiece though, this scope will let you easily see Saturn's rings (this is something you do not want to miss, trust me), Jupiter and its four moons, dozens of named craters on the moon, and hundreds of star clusters, galaxies (wait until you see the Andromeda Galaxy) and nebulae. It'll keep you busy for years. Yes, you could go to the mall and get one of those cheap little computer-controlled gizmo telescopes. The problem is, those cute little scopes won't do any one thing well, and they don't gather enough light (the XT8's 8" mirror gathers eight to ten times as much light as those little 2"-3" scopes). If you've got a new-found interest in astronomy and want an entry-level telescope, you need look no further--although I should also point out that Orion has an excellent upgraded version of the scope called the "Intelliscope" which features the ability to locate thousands of objects by hand using a separately sold paddle-style controller. And if you can't swing the price of the XT8 Intelliscope, I recommend the slightly smaller XT6, which is also a great deal for the price. --Ed Ting Pros Great scope for the price At 8", the mirror is big enough to do serious work Includes two perfectly serviceable eyepieces Easy re-centering of objects Enough viewing power to keep you occupied for years Cons No automated tracking mechanism The serious sky watcher may need to eventually upgrade to a better eyepiece A not very portable 42 pounds Our classic XT8 isn't just great bang for the buck, it's a veritable explosion of telescope value. It combines powerful parabolic optics with the ultimate in mechanical stability. The SkyQuest XT8 features an 8" parabolic primary mirror that will tease out detail in nebulas, resolve stars in globular clusters, and reveal subtle structure in galaxies. The enameled steel optical tube sports a 2" aluminum rack-and-pinion focuser that accepts both 2" and 1.25" eyepieces. The tube moves effortlessly on Teflon/UHMW bearings for point-and-view simplicity. Comes complete with navigation knob, 6x30 finder scope, two 1.25" Sirius Plossl eyepieces, eyepiece rack, collimation cap, and hard dust cap. Features
