meade etx-70?
i'm thinking of buying a meade etx 70 telescope, i'm just starting out on astromony, i dont want to spend too much on a scope and if i get into it i'll upgrade at a later date.
anyone have any thoughts?
i'd like to hear off any owners of one to see what they think?
I agree with cambelp.. up to recommending a Dobsonian. They suck for things like tracking. The 70 mm is really too small. I have a Meade 90 mm, and it does a nice little job, with the computerized go-to function included. I have, however, always felt Meade products are a bit overpriced. You might want to look at Orion (www.Oriontelescopes.com) or Celestron. Orion has some small telescopes that are the equal of Meade but cheaper.
