4.5 "telescope is even worth looking through?

I was on my way to buy a Skyliner 8 "Dobsonian and was very pleased on all examinations and all those who recommended it. But ... my uncle came to my house and told me that his friend would give me a free telescope. I canceled my order at 8 "Dobsonian telescope and received the free, but made him be a Tasco 114mm diameter = focal length = 900mm coated optical. I havent got see Through this telescope, however, as there has been no clear skies but I wonder if I look through this telescope to be disappointed and become less interested in astronomy. If anyone has had any experience with this telescope or something please answer this question. (Also appreciate if you could name what I see and how much detail I could see) thanks.

Well, ..., Sean're in a kind of pickle, eh? Do you reject the gift from a relative (lower although it may be) or hold the gift of respect for your uncle? That's really the issue here and that's a tough decision. When you live in a contaminated area light more openness is needed not less. I'm afraid I be disappointed in the scope even though it is a gift. By the way, is it a new scope that may be returned or is a has been sitting in a garage unused for years because the owner could not take her out? If the former, then no return problem the more scope there is a reason why the scope has been neglected and is about to discover. So the conclusion is, do not think you will happy with the scope and it is best at first to reject the offer and take your lumps with the family in advance rather than grudgingly accepting the scope and frustrated with a lower-quality instrument that will not hold. I feel we are in this situation. Whenever the family is involved is always hard. No matter what the scope you choose. Try challenging the list below. It will give a great first step in using the scope. Note that not all objects are available at this time of year, so you have to plan your observations.

Is there really much difference between 8-inch and 10 inch telescope?

I'm thinking of upgrading to a new telescope Maksutov Cassegrain my 102mm. I was originally looking at the Orion SkyQuest XT10 Intelliscope computer but then I saw somewhere that does not really make much difference. If I look at the Orion SkyQuest XT8 computed Intelliscope place? I believe I can come down with fever Opening * * cough * cold *.

youll get a better image with a 10 inch, but not too theres a difference I'd rather large Hubble

The opening allows me to see distant objects clearly from space, which is under 2k?

$ 2000 Im looking for an 8-inch Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain CPC # Http: / / www.telescopes.com/telescopes/catadioptric-telescopes/celestron8inchcpcschmidtcassegrainwithstarbrightxltcoatings.cfm Telescope tabs I see lots of stars first. Then planets like Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, the works. I want the moon to look great (as much as 2k can get me at least) then I really I want to be able to see some nebulae and clusters species. That's all ... Lol I want to see everything. I also want something portable, I'm a little weak!

Your choice a telescope is good. It is highly valued, it is very portable and has all the opening you need. All that has to offer is a dark sky. A ten-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain not so portable. The weight of scope may make the creation of an enormous thing to do for yourself, and not fall in the price range 2000k <, no without the necessary support, vision and power supply. I use a 10-inch reflector on a Dobsonian mount observation, and an 8-inch reflector on an equatorial mount for imaging. The image of Saturn that I use is mine that I captured with my 8 "and a webcam. I recommend to stay in the 8" range. You'll find hour after hour of enjoyment from it.

The high quality of the Meade telescopes

When aspiring astronomers look for quality optics that enable them to look at the stranger comes from emptiness, the Meade telescopes are an excellent choice. With a wide variety of telescopes, mounts and filters available, Meade provides options for backyard astronomer and student equally serious. Which is why Meade telescopes are trusted worldwide.

Meade grew from a humble beginnings, with nothing more than a man, a kitchen table and 2 x 4 "" Ad Sky & Telescope magazine in 1972. The former offers nothing but a small refractor, Meade found demand for quality optics and accessories that are not being met by the companies that made telescopes. So with a new ad in the emerging Astronomy magazine Meade expanded their offerings and improve their designs, allowing them to differentiate themselves from other telescopes that are offered. In fact, paying attention to details such as gearboxes focusers spring in the eye even with wide viewing field, Meade became a name to consider.

Meade telescopes continued to become more and more popular every year, thanks to its offers of expansion and commitment to quality. In fact, in 1977, had become so popular that they had a delay of 6 months of orders for its new line of reflector telescopes. But after the first offer of each of its customers a refund if you want one, he grew the business to meet demand and gave orders in just three months.

Finally, as Meade continued to gain more and more market share, which opened 1980 with its line of Schmidt-Cassegrain telescopes. Because the design was Meade Schmidt-Cassgrain could do more than other telescope designs, engineers and designers rose to the challenge and delivered a first telescope to telescope took this design to new levels of quality.

Currently, they are Meade telescopes for every interest and every budget. Whether it's an inexpensive telescope starter for someone just beginning their explorations of the night, a wide margin for a great lady, a researcher at the backyard, a room for the person who wants to travel light, or even a specialist who wants a telescope to study the spots solar, Meade has the art, a window opens to the stars and planets.

Through the years, Meade has expanded its business and expand its product line new areas. Meade telescopes addition, there Meade mounts, ocular imaging, photographic lenses, and even binoculars and microscopes. And as your business moves in cool areas, Meade puts the seal of the same quality for new products that have been in stargazing equipment.

From a small operation execution of the kitchen table of one man, Meade telescopes have set new standards of quality, attention to important details. And with care details and customer care, Meade is the name look at when searching when looking for a telescope. This means that the Meade telescopes are what people look through when looking at the sky.

Where to Buy Telescope

Wondering where to buy telescopes? There are many options to go with. In this article we will examine all options and see what is the best choice in where to buy a telescope. Join me as you look at the purchase of telescopes. The hobby of astronomy backyard is large with hundreds of thousands of users worldwide telescope. Although this may seem a huge number, the truth is not as common as video games, so while the Nintendo Wii and Sony PlayStation can be found in all the streets and malls, the truth is that the search telescope shops need a little more research. One point to realize at this point is that asking where to buy a telescope, a telescope and then look at a toy store will not cut it. Small telescopes because a lot problems and do not produce much results. To enter you need a good astronomical telescope manufacturer of real telescopes. These telescopes come with names like Meade, Celestron and Orion. specialty stores can be found, however, generally requires some travel to find them. So the question is where to buy telescope If a store telescope is 4 hours drive and you do not want to make such trips to buy a telescope. There are other options, for example, there is a direct message, and the best way to respond to where to buy telescope with this method is to look at magazines like Sky & Telescope Telescope. The problem is that these places do not usually include pictures, but a description Line 1! Another solution is to search online and this is what we always recommend that when people ask me about where to buy a telescope. This is huge because there are lots and lots of online stores telescope. These stores offer many benefits Telescope crashes retail stores in June! Benefits include the prices of cinema, and a number shear of the selection. With these online stores are much better prices because of savings through online stores. They do not need as many sales people who do not need expensive retail space, and usually receive many more orders. The result is to pass these savings on to you. The other benefit to buying online is to deliver to your home! If you were to buy from a store, you have to take into account the gas to get there and back, over prices because you are buying at a retail store, and have to carry it, etc. When you purchase online is a much more simple and less than 24 hours could have a telescope! You never have to ask where to buy telescope! The only problem is that you can not see the real telescope before buying. Most stores however will give you all the information you need to make a good decision and get the best. About the Author

Telescopes ...?

Throughout my life I've been interested in astronomy ... But I finally decided to go out and buy a telescope. I come across one that is not expensive ... I want to know if the specifications are good. or if anyone has any advice for other telescopes. Celestron AstroMaster 114 EQ Reflector Telescope Recommended Usage: Astrophotography, Viewing Galaxies / clusters, nebulae Videos, Videos of the Moon, Viewing the Planets Warranty: One-year limited-2 Brand: Celestron Use: For the beginner Weight: 17 lbs. StarPointer aluminum coating lens: Fixed GPS: Finderscope: No Go to: Nothing good for astrophotography: Yes Telescopes Series: AstroMaster Series Telescopes Optical Design: Reflector Aperture: 114mm Focal Length: 1000mm Focal ratio: f / 9 Mount Design: CG-2 Equatorial an eye: 20 mm (50x) Eye 2: 10mm (100x) More Useful Magnification: 200 Star Diagonal: 1.25 "User Level: beginners

A telescope's performance depends on the sum of its parts. As advances in astronomy, you will begin to move away from the idea of an all-inclusive kit and begin to assemble their own mix of components. The biggest problem with most beginner areas is that it is a kit, and trying to include everything you require to spend money on a range of accessories cheap or useless. The area you are viewing is a decent starting point. You'll probably want to replace the pointer "star fixed "with a 50 mm telephoto lens (which will make things much easier to find), add a good 32 mm eyepiece to view low power, unless the star diagonal of another area (usually in the path of a reflector), and add a unit of low-cost clock for EQ-2. This one works well: category_id = ~ drives_controllers http://www.telescope.com/control/product/ / ~ product_id = 07 827 I also finally add a good 2x Barlow lens to double the operating range of your device eye. (For example, 10mm, 20mm, 32mm eye to become barlow 5 mm, 10mm, 16mm). That illustrates why do not usually want to buy both the 10 and 20mm eyepiece, but would have been better with a 10 and 25mm. Make these changes and you'll be well on your way to convert "the scope beginners" in a 114mm overall good reflector. ps. If you can swing, this is a much better: category_id = reflectors http://www.telescope.com/control/product/ ~ / ~ = telescopes pcategory / ~ Product_id = 09 851

There are three types sold in my local store. Bushnell Celestron Tasco just want one so I can to see the Moon, Venus, Jupiter, Saturn's rings. What would be the best to get it? I have a bushnell now! but I am looking to get an update one! Canadian Tire and Walmart are selling and the 3 is more than $ 200.

I have a Bushnell and I am very happy with it. Mine is connected to my computer and I simply enter the item you want to see, then, the telescope is aligned for me to see the object.

What is a reasonable price. However, you should be aware that this is not an astronomical level, and will not be very easy to use for this purpose unless are limiting its application to the Moon. If you really want to get serious about astronomy, you have to spend more money.

What are some good things (mostly cloudy) to see through a good telescope in June, from Ibero-N?

Location details: in the northern hemisphere, longitude 45deg, Eastern Europe - I think these should be sufficient. I have a 1000 mm (40 inch) reflector telescope. From what I know, I think that Mars and Saturn will be seen very well in the south of ... Also later in the night, Andromeda is quite good ... I was interested to see other galaxies or nebulae ... I do not think Orion can be seen in the summer, but perhaps other objects. Oh yes, that is the focal length. The opening is approximately 8.7 inches (approximately 200 mm). It's a decent telescope in my opinion for an amateur astronomer time:)

Hmmm - I suspect that describes the 40-inch focal length, not the opening its scope. That's OK, you can still see many things, especially in late June. If you look towards the southern horizon in late June near midnight, he looks toward the center of our Milky Way galaxy. You can see behind the spiral arms from the center, the Sagittarius arm crossing compared to the galactic core, and the Orion arm extends above. The region around the galactic center is filled with familiar and easy to find nebulae: Lagoon, Swan, and the Trifid just to name a few. There are also plenty of star clusters in this region, as might be expected. If you look up, you can see Cygnus Cygnus, with its wings through the galactic plane, while flying through the Milky Way toward the center. Its tail is the North American Nebula, with the bright star Deneb in the end. Its head is the double star Albireo bright blue and gold. Nearby is the small but brilliant Ring Nebula, and on the other side of Cygnus is the Dumbbell Nebula - also brilliant. Flying in the opposite direction - to the Milky Way and outside the school - is Aquila the Eagle. The Wild Duck star cluster next to the tail and the bright star Altair is on your shoulder. Looking to the southwest high, you should be able to see Hercules. He has a wealth bright globular (M13) on their side. In June, July and runs until August, these features will be visible after dark. This is good, and also dark before. Summer is a good time for observation, but you have to stay up late to see much of this far north. Clear Skies Added: I agree with Viola the North American Nebula is not a good telescope target - unless you have a very small scope or binoculars. I was not sure what its scope was at the time of my reply. It is a great field for any eye, however.

telescope mount some questions?

I have a Celestron NexStar 130 SLT computerized telescope. What you need to update the forest?

It would not be a high priority for me. I could do some things to improve the rigidity of the saddle, as replacement of thin sheet aluminum legs with feet wood, and hanging a weight from the bottom of the frame. Another simple trick is to hang a small strand of the front of the tube, increasing the mass and the absorption of some vibration. If you ever want to get involved in astrophotography, you may want to update the assembly of a German equatorial mount (ASGT or better), but this will cost over its entire present telescope.
