I'm buying a telescope, but want a larger goal, what should I buy?

I'm buying the Celestron PowerSeeker 70 EQ Telescope and want to buy a lens that allows me to see detail of the planets and perhaps some deep sky objects like nebulae. What kind of lens should I buy to do this? I am a beginner like me this will be my own personal telescope and have no funds for the telescope that I really like. Can anyone give me some advice on what to buy to enable you see these things. 1) This is a very poor choices for a first telescope. First, its opening is too small: 70 mm will not tell you much of anything. The 4mm eyepiece supplied with Celestron scope and is on track to increase too much for this size of telescope. In fact, most people almost never use an eyepiece this small.
